In the 1960s, a woman named Judy Garland (Renee Zellweger) who struggled to move forward, where she dealt with failed marriages and addictions, reduced her talent for performance and damaged her reputation in the music industry.
Left without a home when she tried to raise her children including Lorna (Bella Ramsey), Judy felt even more desperate.
Judy was unable to make money in the city of Los Angeles because of problems she had to deal with, while her ex-husband, Sidney (Rufus Sewell), threatened to take custody of their children.
Offering a 5-week deal at the Talk of the Town nightclub in London, Judy also took part, only to be faced with the physical and psychological demands of the work when she arrived there.
Monitored by an assistant named Rosalyn (Jessie Buckley) and persuaded by a man named Mickey (Finn Wittrock) who is an American who is eager to promise Judy the best, Judy struggles to stay in the right mind in the show trying to get past her negative thoughts and show the public how special he is.
